Single engine · bundle with winterization and save
Spring commissioning reverses winter layup and prepares your vessel for active season. Full Throttle Marine de-winterizes the engine, verifies fuel and electrical systems, performs start-up and test runs, and delivers a launch-ready sign-off at your dock.
After months idle, fuel degrades, batteries weaken, and corrosion advances in places you cannot see from the helm. Starting an engine without commissioning risks immediate damage and ruins the first weekend of the season. Commissioning confirms systems are safe before you load family and gear aboard.
Owners returning from winter storage, seasonal residents back for summer, and anyone who winterized with us or elsewhere and wants a professional launch checklist.
Ready to book?
Secure your launch window early. We'll align with your marina schedule and have you ready when the weather breaks.
Yes. We commission vessels regardless of who performed winterization. We'll assess condition on arrival and quote any additional work before proceeding.
Book four to six weeks before your target launch date. March and April fill quickly across Tampa Bay.
Commissioning is launch prep, not a full interval service. If your hours require a 100- or 200-hour visit, we can combine appointments in one dock day.

Fuel System
E10 absorbs moisture in humid climates. Phase-separated fuel destroys injectors and carburetors.
No regrets: Fuel older than 30 days in a vented tank deserves stabilizer — or a fresh fill before storage.
Full DIY guide →Fuel System
Dry starts after storage starve the fuel pump and can air-lock the system.
No regrets: Never crank endlessly on a no-start — fix fuel delivery first.
Full DIY guide →Electronics & Electrical
Sulfated batteries cause no-starts, false alarm codes, and weak sonar returns.
No regrets: A $40 maintainer beats a $200 tow because you cranked on a dead battery.
