What it is
Premium detailing is a multi-stage cosmetic restoration: thorough wash, clay bar decontamination, machine polish, and durable wax or sealant on exterior surfaces, plus interior wipe-down, vinyl conditioning, and glass treatment. We deliver professional-shop results at your dock or marina.
Why you need it
Salt, UV, and algae stain gelcoat and oxidize finishes faster in Florida than almost anywhere in the country. Regular washing helps, but only proper decontamination and protection restore depth and gloss — and protect resale value on six-figure boats. Detailing is maintenance for your hull and your pride of ownership.

Step up from the standard detail
Same flat-rate clarity, same mobile crew. Ask for these when you book — quoted before work begins, unified pricing in both markets.
Ceramic coating
Longer-lasting UV and oxidation protection than a standard wax or sealant finish. The step-up when you want gloss that holds through Florida sun and salt between details.
- Builds on a full wash, clay, and polish prep
- Harder, more durable barrier than wax alone
- Ask for a ceramic quote when you book
Gelcoat oxidation restoration
Heavier compounding and color restoration for chalky, oxidized gelcoat the standard detail cannot fully correct. The fix when the hull has already gone dull.
- Targets chalking and faded gelcoat
- Restores depth before protection goes on
- Pair with ceramic when you want the finish to last

Common questions
How is this different from a dock wash?
A wash removes surface dirt. Premium detailing decontaminates, corrects, and protects — the difference between clean and glossy.
Do you need shore power or water?
We arrive equipped for mobile operation. Tell us your slip access when booking so we plan accordingly.
Can I combine detailing with engine service?
Yes — the Service + Detail Combo is our most popular package for owners who want mechanical and cosmetic work in one visit.
Do you detail boats in St. Augustine and Jacksonville?
Yes. We serve the First Coast — St. Augustine, Jacksonville, Orange Park, Ponte Vedra, Fleming Island, and Amelia Island — on the same flat-rate menu as Tampa Bay. Book online and pick First Coast, or call 904-417-8198.
When should I choose ceramic coating vs. wax?
Wax or sealant is the standard finish on our Premium Detail. Choose ceramic when you want longer-lasting UV and oxidation protection between appointments — especially for boats that live outside in Florida sun.
My gelcoat is chalky. Will a standard detail fix it?
Light haze often responds to machine polish in the standard package. Heavy chalking and color fade need gelcoat oxidation restoration — heavier compounding before protection. Tell us the hull condition when you book and we will quote the right path.

Owner tips for this service
DIY habits that complement professional Premium Boat Detailing — and when to book a pro instead.
Cleaning & Detailing
Rinse hull, deck, and hardware after every trip
Salt crystals act like sandpaper under sun load and stain porous gelcoat within days.
No regrets: A five-minute rinse at the dock beats a weekend of compounding later.
Full DIY guide →Cleaning & Detailing
Use a two-bucket wash with grit guards
Single-bucket washing grinds salt and grit back into gelcoat — the main cause of swirl marks.
No regrets: Never use household dish soap as your primary wash — it strips wax and dries vinyl.
Full DIY guide →Cleaning & Detailing
Condition vinyl monthly — UV damage is irreversible
Cracked seats start as faded, stiff vinyl long before they tear.
No regrets: Cover consoles and seating when stored outside, even in Florida 'winter.'
